WHAT IS TIC?

a day camp where kids learn by having fun!
superb technology instruction and vigorous athletics
a 4:1 camper/counselor ratio with smart, caring staff
unique projects created with real programming languages or multimedia software
exciting sports which develop social skills and good sportsmanship

Kids come to TIC not just to explore technology, but for a kind of personal attention, excitement and creativity rarely found elsewhere. Our half day sports program offers a physical challenge to balance the mental stimulation of the technology half day.

Campers are divided into two age groups: when the Juniors are in technology the Seniors are in sports; after lunch the groups switch places, so that each camper gets three hours of technology instruction and three hours of sports each day.

TIC has been accredited by the ACA and has flourished in the DC metropolitan area for 27 years!

TIC Summer Camp has three locations: the French International School, 9600 Forest Road, Bethesda, MD 20814; Oakcrest School, 850 Balls Hill Road, McLean, VA 22101; and —NEW IN 2010—the Mount Vernon Campus of the George Washington University, 2100 Foxhall Road, Washington DC 20007. Four two-week sessions run from mid-June through mid-August, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more details on how it all works, click here.
