Site Director
Hi, I'm JS. I am the director here at TIC Maryland this summer. I spent the past two years working in Congress, and in the fall, I'm off to law school at Vanderbilt University. I enjoy long walks on the beach, push up contests and ultimate frisbee.

Assistant Director
Thanks for coming to TIC this summer! This is my first year at TIC as the Assistant Director, and I am very excited to be working with such great campers. During the rest of the year I am a Physics and Mathematics Teacher in DC. In the fall I will be serving as the Albert Einstein Fellow at the National Science Foundation.

Assistant Director
Alyson returns for her sixth and last summer at TIC on staff as troubleshooter extraordinaire, fair godmother, senior director, trouble maker, and a host of other titles. She appears from time to time at both the Virginia and Maryland campuses, wherever she is most desired. After the summer Alyson will be taking up residence in Seattle, Washington as an Associate Producer for Microsoft's Games Studio. Her deepest darkest secret is her passion for the color yellow, lady bugs, and Hilary Duff.

Salutations, my name is Daniel. After graduating college, my goal is to be a productive member of society. That is why I am back at TIC for my fourth year and couldn't be any happier. Running around acting like a "director" when, in fact, I just want to be a kid again doesn't get any more real. WE LOVE TIC!!!!

Having recently graduated-ish from Dickinson College, Sam has recently achieved his professional dream of playing Go Fish! in all fifty states. He is taking a vacation from his normal activities to grace us with his presence as Programming Director, while simultaneously auditioning for the role of Dumbledore in Harry Potter 6.

Multimedia Director
Branden, or as he is known on American Gladiators, "Justice," returns to TIC after a brief hiatus. Now armed with a degree from Cornell and about to enter graduate school at Georgetown, he feels more ready than ever to break open broken computers. PS, he wrote his college thesis on "High School Musical."

My name is Julia and this is my third summer at TIC. I am the athletic director, mostly because I am a Baller. I am a rising senior at Washington University in St. Louis where I am being trained to be an even bigger Baller. It's a tough life I lead, but being back at TIC is making it much more enjoyable.

Nurse
Jeff Greenstein, a volunteer EMT and firefighter in Montgomery County, Maryland for the past 6 years, is the last remaining heir to the Band-Aid(brand) fortune. He plans to use his newly aquired wealth to reprogram evry single AED in the state to double as a kareoke machine. Dance Party!!! This is Jeff's second year as Camp Nurse in Maryland, and he's ready to make it his best yet!

Drama/Athletic Counselor
Kadeem Alston-Roman is the Drama Specialist at TIC and is 17 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he just graduated from LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York City. He will be attending Muhlenberg College in the fall as a double major in Theater and Dance. This is his first year at TIC. He aspires to be a professional actor and choreographer.

Graphics Counselor
I come from the land down under. Born and bred in Ocean Grove, Victoria. I'm 22 years old and graduated as a graphic artist in Nov. 2006 from The Gordon Institute. I'm happy to be back at TIC for my second year as a graphics counsellor.

I'm 17 years old , and will graduate from the Maret School in 2009. I'm interested in studying psychology. or as I like to call it Psycho-babalizing. I have lived in the DC area all my life. I've been at TIC for along time, maybe 6 or 7 years.

I like sunsets and sushi. I go to UPenn where I hope to study Digital Media Design. I speak French and Spanish in addition to my mother tongue. Though I'm garrulous I love working with kids and have been a camper as well as counselor at TIC for more than 10 years combined.

Another aspiring psychologist, Mario is a junior at the Edmund Burke School, and has been a part of TIC for the past three years. He enjoys soccer, wrestling, reading, and video games, and dislikes being compared to the more famous mario.

Taylor Crimmel,16 years old and a rising senior at Thomas S Wootton High School in Rockville,is returning to TIC for his 5th year, the first 3 years as a camper. He loves to play basketball, and is known at camp as "Tay Tay." There are many rumors about where this name come from, but it all comes back to Athletic Directior Julia Baller!

I'm Alex and I'm 20. I am in the Class of 2010 at The University of the Arts as a Film major. This is my second year at TIC as part of the Video Triumvirate. I've been in the DC area since I was five, and I plan to return after I graduate to establish a film industry here. I love football (the real kind, a.k.a. American Football) and video games. I run every other day and watch a lot of TV everyday. Much love to House M.D.

Daniel Eichberg is a 19 year old rising sophomore. He is studying biology at Cornell University. He is excited for his first year as a programming instructor at TIC. He is an aspiring doctor and can hold his breath for over 2 minutes. Daniel enjoys running, playing saxophone, and writing staff bios.

Digital Photo Counselor
Emily Everhart goes to school in southern Florida where she is majoring in nothing
that will ever result in gainful employment. This is her first year at TIC, but she was
previously a counselor at horse camp, and has spent the last five months in India
teaching computers and English to Bengali children. She's looking forward to a great
summer teaching digital photography.

Programming/Robotics Counselor
Matt Everhart is a 22 Year old Super-Senior from the University of Florida. He has lived in four countries and just returned from a two-week trip to India. His years of teaching LEGO Mindstorms robotics served him well in his last occupataion constructing the terminator prototypes. However, since the govern-ator went and blew up Matt's feared machines, he's back at TIC, where hopefuly at least one young mind may some day fufill Matt's unrealized dreams of machine led world domination. |

Jamie is everyone's favorite impossibly tall second year animation counselor. This fall he will attend The University of North Carolina where he will major in undecided. He might play club volleyball. Get back to him on that.

I will be 18 in July and starting at UVA in the fall (class of 2012). This is my second year at TIC, and I am an athletics counselor. I love tennis, gymnastics, and handstand contests, and I cannot live without Honey Bunches of Oats cereal!

My name is Julie Hussey. I'm a 23 year old graduate student at Emerson College in Media Arts and I finished my BA at Wheaton College in English. I am a first year animation counselor here and am excited to be part of the TIC team! I love animation, photography, video editing, film studies and writing sketch comedies.

David "Jaffattack" Jaffe, after surviving an encounter with Werner Herzog during his Freshman year at Wheaton College, has returned to TIC to share his new found knowledge of gorilla film making.

Skyler is a lvl. 19 human fire mage and a rising sophomore at Harvey Mudd College. Her hobbies include questing, debugging, and eating anything with sugar in it. She is blessed with a very space-efficient body structure, which some people call "short". This is her first year as a programming counselor at TIC.

I'm Chris Kerich! I'm 17 years old and am a rising senior at Walter Johnson High School, graduating in 2009. This is my fourth year at TIC, but first year on staff. This year I'm an Animation counselor. I'm not sure what I want to do when I graduate college, but I know I want to major in Mathematics.

This is Ross Kerr's third year as a Digital Music counselor. He is also moonlighting as a video counselor thanks to David Jaffe's life-changing "Final Cut Pro in 5 Minutes" Seminar. Just days after the seminar, Ross' voice dropped an octave in pitch, he lost 30 pounds and suddenly realized that he had graduated from McDaniel College in 2007. Ross loves TIC and he hopes that it will be his final resting place in the year 2065, the year TIC will offer Outer Space Exploration as well as Programming.

Reuven Lazarus, 21, is taking a break from his feats as a time-traveling space pirate to return to TIC for his ninth summer and his second as a programming counselor. While not fighting crime, he is a junior at Reed College, majoring in physics. He has a prehensile mustache and is illiterate in hundreds of languages.

Lucy Li, 18, is a rising sophomore at Duke University and is still deciding on her major. When she isn't watching the latest figure skating or dance videos on YouTube, she enjoys drinking obscene amounts of orange juice and devouring Fuji apples. She is a Web Design counselor and this is her first year at TIC.

Kira Maker is a 19-year-old athletic counselor at TIC. She loves all sports, especially soccer. This has been a year of “firsts” for Kira. After completing her first year of college at Stanford University and eating her first grilled cheese sandwich, Kira is loving her first summer at TIC.

Hana Maruyama, 18, is a first-year desktop publishing counselor, but she was a camper at TIC for five years and a staff assistant last summer. She will be attending Carleton College as a freshman this fall, graduating in 2012. Possible majors include English and History.

My name is Ellen O'Brien. I am 20 years old and this is my first year working at TIC camp. I will be a senior at Denison University in the Fall, where I have played three years of varsity basketball and am double majoring in Sports Management and Psychology. Despite my aspirations to work in the sports industry after college, my slight obsession with the Food Network may instead put me on track to be the next Iron Chef...maybe.

Aryaan Razzaghi was forged in the fires of some Virginia hospital and has somehow managed to keep alive for twenty years. When not fighting The Power at Suffolk University in Boston, he can found with his family in Washington DC. Was previously a camper at TIC for eight years, disappeared for three years, and this year has resurfaced, this time as a dashing web design counselor!

My name is David Schumacher and as of right now I'm 18 years old. I go to Colby College in the freezing frostlands of central Maine. I will (hopefully) graduate in 2011 with a major in International Studies. This is my first year as a staff member at TIC and I'm looking forward to throwing a ball around with anybody in sight.

Avi is 20 and majoring in Biology at Wash U, class of 2011. Avi is TIC’s reigning Rock-Paper-Scissors champion, and he works as a programming counselor on the side. He’s been a member of staff at TIC for two years, and attended TIC as a camper for more years than he can remember.

A TIC camper from the ages of 11 to 16, Gordon is now returning for his sixth summer at TIC, this time as a programming counselor! During the year, Gordon studies Computer Science and Spanish at Washington University in St. Louis.

Nick Talisman, 18, is a member of the Juniata College Class of 2012, and a Psychology Major. This is his second year on staff, as an Athletic Counselor specializing in Tennis. Raised in the mean streets of Bethesda his whole life, he became Office Assistant last summer. He loves to play tennis, will be on the tennis team in college, and attempts to play basketball at an average level.

Meg (Meglet) Tobin, turning 20 on July 26th, is back for her second Summer as a TIC counselor at TIC: mostly Programming (Logo), but filling in the cracks wherever needed. A rising Junior at Duke University (Class of 2010) with a major in Psychology (Developmental) and minors in Computer Science and Education, she voluntarily spends many mornings at 7:00 a.m. organizing, motivating and yelling at girls twice her size as a coxswain on the Duke Rowing Team. Formerly obsessed with the color red, she has now moved on to Diet Coke.

Melissa recently turned legal and will be heading to college this fall (Rice 2012!). A second-year TIC web design counselor, she will be studying mathematical economic analysis at Rice and aspires to fulfill her lifelong dream of dancing like Jabbawockeez in her sleep.

Jeremy White, 20, Tufts University 2009, English Major, is back fro his Third Rockin' Summer at TIC. Jeremy, who was raised by a caravan of traveling circus folk in the Balkans, can fit up to 15 grapes in his mouth and is known for giving extremely powerful high fives. You might not know it, but right before you read this, he saved your life. That's how good he is.

Robin Wilke, age 18, University of Vermont, graduating 2012, Biobehavioral Psychology and Applied Mathematics, and a Programming counselor at TIC for my first year. I could have been an athletic counselor, since I play way more softball than is good for me and also run in races. Born in Boston, I love cold and rainy weather, still have a bit of an accent, and can never miss a Red Sox game. I hope to earn a Ph.D.in neuroscience, specializing in pain studies.

Being a super chemist is my game, and curing the world of diseases and eating chocolate are my goals! I want to be just like Sailor Moon when I grow up and in a lab mixing chemicals & coloring my life with the color purple!
