    Way Back Wednesday

This post is a very special #WBW celebrating over 30 years of TIC history! Jasper and Jonah L. are two current TIC campers whose uncle attended TIC back in the day. Amazingly, he kept his t-shirt and passed it on to his nephews for this photo! Jasper (on the left) is wearing the 1980 shirt and Jonah (on the right) is wearing this summer’s shirt. Thanks to their family for passing on this photo! If anyone else has little bits of TIC history to pass on, we’d love to have you send us an e-mail!

He even taught us some sweet dance moves, perfect for TIC’s Got Talent!™. Finally, we had a Wah! Championship Round, in which the counselors faced off against each other to see which 3…

The New York Times just came out with an article highlighting Sphero SPRK Edition. Sphero is a ball game that is designed to teach kids programming. Here is an excerpt from the article: “Spheros aren’t just fun; they are also an excellent teaching tool. Students have begun using them to learn everything from geometry to genetics. They can code them, too, to take a first step into computer programming. The toy’s infiltration of the classroom came about mostly by accident. Ian Bernstein and Adam Wilson, the inventors who came up with the Sphero, six years ago, were immersed in hacker culture, and they planned to disseminate portions of their code to…
